We have had a terrible experience with G J Gardner in Whangarei. So much for a fixed price contract. The week before we were due to move in we received an invoice for $3,000 to upgrade the power supply. No discussion about this, just a demand. We also received a $7,000 bill for extra drainage and to top it off we we told in no uncertain terms that we could’nt move in until these bills were paid! The section was left in an awful state with rubbish everywhere. It took them 6 weeks after we moved in for them to put in poles for the washing line. Terrible, terrible customer service. They acted liked they were doing us a favour in building our house. I contacted their head office in Auckland with our numerous complaints but they weren’t interested. Their advertising is just that, they certainly don’t deliver on these claims and have cause us a lot of stress trying to come up with the extra $10,000 they demanded.
